Socorro Martinez and grandson Eliseo Lopez from Lamont enjoying some carne asada tacos. It's their first time participating in the 5 de Mayo event. Martinez ws invited by her granddaughter who is a CSUB student and volunteer for the event.

Live music was also part of the event. Music group Romero Musical from Bakersfield were going to be performing. Here are Jesus and Isidro Romero part of the group setting up their instruments.
Music couldn't be an exception in the 5 de Mayo event, and DJ Rogelio Martinez from Sonido Son Mayor was in charge of playing good spanish music from 11am to 6pm.

Jazmin Banuelos and Juan Manuel Savala also part of the METCHA club preaparing the chicken meat for the tacos. Jazmin and Juan Manuel are only volunteers they participate in the event every year helping on whatever they can. They do it for a personal benefit and enjoy it a lot.
